Data we process

Account data: name, email, Apple/Google sign-in provider ID, legal consent records, and subscription status.

App content: chat messages, user-visible memory notes, reminders, check-in answers, AI memory preference, profile preferences, and avatar usage records.

Device permissions: camera/photo access for profile photos, microphone/camera access for live avatar, notification permission, and health data access only if the user grants it.

Why we use data

To create accounts, manage sessions, provide app features, run reminders and memory records.

To personalize AI chat and avatar experiences only within the user's permitted scope, prevent misuse, verify subscription status, and keep required legal records.

When explicitly permitted, step count and heart rate data are used for movement reminders, calming suggestions, and avatar support.

When AI memory is turned off under Profile > Permissions, AI avatars do not use personal memory or past context in future chats.

Health Data access, collection, and use

Hissin accesses Health Data such as step count and heart rate only when the user explicitly grants the relevant device permission.

Health Data is used for supportive features such as daily movement reminders, the 7000-step goal, high-heart-rate awareness, calming suggestions, and optional live avatar support conversations.

Health Data is not used for advertising, marketing, third-party data sales, credit/employment/financial decisions, or user profiling.

Users can disable Health Data permissions at any time in device settings; when permission is disabled, Hissin cannot read new Health Data.

Data retention and deletion

Account, legal consent, subscription, support, and security records are retained for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and prevent misuse.

User-created chats, reminders, memory notes, and profile content may be retained while the account is active or until the user deletes them.

Health Data is not retained to create a permanent medical record; it is processed only to the minimum extent needed to operate the relevant app experience and account-linked data is included in the account deletion process.

Users can delete their account from the in-app Privacy Center or send data access/deletion requests to support.

Sensitive data and crisis content

Hissin does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis support.

Content about depression risk, suicidal ideation, or serious mental-health labels is not continued as normal chat and is not saved as a note, reminder, or AI memory record.

Sensitive data is retained only to the minimum extent needed for the relevant feature; users can initiate deletion of app data through account deletion.

Third-party services

Hissin may use trusted third-party infrastructure providers for authentication, subscription management, AI responses, speech generation, and live avatar experiences.

Only the data required to run the relevant feature is shared. Hissin does not use health data for advertising, marketing, or data sale.

User rights

Users can request privacy actions and account deletion from the Privacy Center or by contacting support.

Notification, camera, microphone, photo, and health permissions can be managed from device settings; AI memory can be managed under Profile > Permissions.
